Your right to withdraw, and how the refund is worked out.
Midsentence is operated by Sébastien Postansque, a sole proprietorship (Jednoosobowa Działalność Gospodarcza) registered in Poland, registered address Aleja 3 Maja 7A/54, 00-401 Warsaw, Poland. Subscriptions and top-ups are sold through our website with Paddle.com Market Ltd as the merchant of record, so Paddle processes the payment and any refund.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of the day you subscribed, without giving a reason. This is your statutory right under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
To withdraw, tell us clearly before the 14 days end, for example by email to [email protected] from the address on your account. You may use this wording, though you do not have to:
When you subscribe, you ask us to start the service straight away rather than after the 14 days, and you accept that if you withdraw you will pay for the part you have used. We therefore refund the unused part of your first payment.
The used part is whichever is higher of:
Example: on the 60-minute plan at €9, you withdraw on day 6 having used 15 minutes. The minutes share is 25% and the time share is 20%, so 25% counts as used. You get €6.75 back.
Your usage is shown on your account page at any time, so you can see the figures before you decide.
Top-up minutes are provided as soon as you buy them, at your request. Minutes you have used are not refundable. Unused top-up minutes can be refunded if you ask within 14 days of that purchase.
The right to withdraw applies to your first subscription. A renewal does not open a new withdrawal period. You can cancel at any time from your account: the next charge does not happen, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
If you live outside the EU, we apply the same rule: withdraw within 14 days of subscribing and we refund the unused part.
If your account has been suspended for breaking the rules in our Terms, a refund is not issued automatically. The request is reviewed by a person, alongside the record of why the account was suspended, and we will reply to you. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this review, and if a refund is due it will be paid.
Later refunds are not automatic, but we consider them case by case, for example where a persistent fault stops you using the service and we cannot fix it in reasonable time, or where you have been charged twice by mistake.
Email [email protected]. We process the refund through Paddle within 5 to 10 business days, to the original payment method.
